Founded by Carolyn Ransom after she noticed a scarcity of diverse, affordably-priced books in the city, Patchwork now holds over 8,500 used books across genres and languages. Visitors are genuinely welcome to linger, read, and chat with the owner over homemade cookies or hot tea — one of the most explicitly sober-friendly spaces in the city.
